Welcome to Red Mesa Elementary School
Red Mesa Elementary School is also located in Red Mesa, Arizona, which is about 25 miles southwest of the Four Corners. The school is located on the Navajo Reservation and is a public school. We have nearly 100% Navajo students are coming from low-income families. The students are bussed in everyday from as far as 60 miles away.
We have approximately 197 students, ranging from Kindergarten to 5th Grade. The elementary school staff consists of the principal, 8 classified staff and 10 teachers.
Red Mesa Elementary School teachers elementary standards such as:
Reading: Decodes Words using Phonics, Vocabulary, and Reading Independently.
Writing: Punctuation/Capitalization/Grammar, Spelling/Handwriting, Word Choice/Sentence Fluency, Writes Stories, Reports, Ideas, Organization and Speaking/Listening/Communication.
Math: Computation/Number Sense, Data/Patterns/Geometry/Measurement
